SHIT, DAMN, MOTHERFUCKER

I'M TALKING ABOUT D'ANGELO AND HIS RETURN TO THE STAGE ON A FREEZING FRIDAY NIGHT IN LONDON. TO PUT IT BLUNTLY EVERYONE INCLUDING MYSELF WANTED TO KNOW WHETHER HE WAS STILL FAT. WELL HE ISN'T. D'ANGELO SEEMED TO HAVE SHAKEN OFF HIS SOMEWHAT TROUBLED PAST (AND EXCESS WEIGHT) TO CONFIDENTLY COME BACK AND RECLAIM HIS SOUL CROWN. WITH A SLIGHTLY DISHEVELED STYLE SIMILAR TO THAT OF LENNY KRAVITZ, MIXED WITH A PURE FUNK SIMILAR TO THAT OF JAMES BROWN, D'ANGELO ADDED HIS STILL APPARENT SEX APPEAL AND PEOPLE WITH SEATED TICKETS (LIKE ME) NEVER SAT DOWN. SINGING HIS HEART OUT ALONGSIDE HIS ELECTRIC GUITAR HE PERFORMED TRACKS FROM HIS NEW ALBUM 'JAMES RIVER', BUT MY FAVOURITE PART HAD TO BE WHEN HE DISMISSED THE BAND AND BEGAN AN INTIMATE TEASING PIANO MEDLEY OF SOME HIS BREATHTAKING CLASSICS. SOON AS HE HIT THAT FIRST NOTE FOR UNTITLED I SCREAMED. HOW DOES IT FEEL D'ANGELO? IT FEELS LIKE YOU NEVER LEFT.
